Welcome to Orbital ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use the Orbital mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your phone number for authentication purposes and your display name. You may optionally provide a profile photo.

Task and Board Data

We store the tasks, boards, descriptions, deadlines, severity levels, and other content you create within the Service. This data is necessary to provide core functionality.

Usage Data

We may collect information about how you access and use the Service, including device type, operating system, app version, and interaction patterns. This data helps us improve the Service.

Push Notification Tokens

If you enable push notifications, we collect your device token to deliver notifications about task assignments, status changes, deadlines, and board activity.

• To authenticate your identity and manage your account
• To enable collaboration features such as boards, task assignments, and invite codes
• To send notifications about task updates, deadlines, and board activity

Your data is stored using Firebase services provided by Google, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Cloud Storage. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With other users: Your display name, profile photo, and initials are visible to members of boards you join. Task content is visible to board members.
• Service providers: We use Firebase (Google) for infrastructure. Their use of your data is governed by their respective privacy policies.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal processes.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable

You can delete your account directly within the app through Settings. For other requests, contact us at support@orbital.app.

The Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app or on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
